Nomad Carina

Three views of a 3-d printed, collapsible, telescope. One view shows a front view in which the black pieces overlap considerably. One shows a side view with much more detail. The telescope consists of a clam shell base supporting long truss tubes, three rings, and an eye piece. The truss tubes are long, square, and thin, with small holes going through them, mainly for aesthetic purposes now that the telescope is made of lightweight plastic rather than wood and metal. They come together in triangles to support the telescope's center and top rings. The final view shows what the telescope looks like when closed. It looks a lot like a black clam. I tried to convince Peter to name this telescope the Nomad Venus as an allusion to the Birth of Venus, but he wouldn't do it because there are no depictions of the Birth of Venus in which both halves of the clam shell are present. Stickler.

The Nomad Carina Telescope is now patent pending, with an active Kickstarter! Fund us there or pre-order directly from us, here.
