Peter’s Progress

Today, Peter is refining the base for the Nomad Carina.

A picture of a 3-d printed circle with four stubby legs. It is shaped so that a large ball can rest on it and rotate as needed. It has decorative holes designed into it every half inch or so. It rests on a scuffed and scratched wood floor.

As a ball telescope, the Nomad Carina sits in this basin-like stand and rotates to view any part of the sky desired.

Peter tells me that wiggle in the base means wiggle in the telescope, and nobody wants that!
